Ross Gilbert Returns To SURA

SURA is pleased to announce respected underwriter Ross Gilbert has returned to the SURA-branded family of agencies as national manager of SURA Labour Hire and SURA Specialty.

Based in SURA’s new Melbourne office, Ross will lead the day- to-day running of both portfolios. Ross previously worked for the SURA group of agencies for over 7 years.

SURA managing director Angie Zissis said he was pleased to have Ross back on board.

“Ross Gilbert’s return to SURA shows his strong connection to our business. His expertise is invaluable and his understanding of complex liability risks and the bespoke coverage requirements that come from risks within the labour hire industry will ensure both these agencies will continue to grow and that brokers are provided first-rate service and technical know-how.”

Ross said he was excited to have returned to run SURA Labour Hire and SURA Specialty.

“I will enjoy reigniting both my relationships with my colleagues as well as with the strong community of wonderful brokers that come along with being part of the SURA-branded family.

“We also have an agreement with Calibre Commercial Insurance Pty Ltd that we are able to negotiate replacement terms (subject to our insurers risk appetite and underwriting guidelines)  on their existing Speciality Liability Insurance renewals as they fall due from the 27^th of January 2018, noting that they are no longer writing this product,” he said.

“This will give me the satisfaction that I can continue to look after those brokers I’ve supported over the years, as well as finding new ways to support brokers in this growing niche segment of our industry.”
