Michelle commenced in the early 1980’s in Life Assurance and also helped to create the first ‘industry specific’ Employee Superannuation policy, which was for the Motor Trade.

In 1989 Michelle moved to Financial Planning with Wymond Brothers Financial Planning, a branch of Wymond Brothers Insurance Brokers.  Wymond Brothers are the same team that created Australian Bus & Coach Underwriting in 1979.  In 1991 Michelle transferred from Financial Planning to commence as a Receptionist & Administration Clerk for Australian Bus & Coach Underwriting.

Michelle has had various roles within ABC, from Administration, Liability & Motor Vehicle Underwriting, to helping claims when required.  Her main role is Office Administration & Accounts.

Jo has 20 years of insurance industry experience and began her insurance career at an underwriting agency specialising in Professional Risks including Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability and Information Technology Liability.

Jo holds Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Queensland and has a keen interest in the Life Science and Technology sectors. Prior to joining the SURA team, Jo spent 10 years with a large global insurer where she held senior underwriting and management roles in respect of Cyber, Technology, Public & Products and Life Science Liability products.

The vast experience Jo has allows her to proactively assist and support customers and stakeholders in the niche sector products offered by SURA Technology Risks.

Yasa began her Insurance career in 2015 at IAG. Prior to that she worked in the Strata industry for several years as a Building Manager and Account Manager.

Combining her knowledge of Strata and Insurance, she joined Strata Unit Underwriters in 2017 as a Claims Service Manager and in 2021 she was promoted to National Claims Manager. Yasa brings a wealth of Claims experience and relationship management skills to the role.
